20th May 2005 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 25 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 12ºC Sea Temperature: 11ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 25.4 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 27.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Perfection, perfectly powered up with my 5m and wave board, perfect weather and the whole beach to myself. Had some made speed runs over the chop, some massive jumps and some amazing wave rides with big big turns off the top sending up arcs of spray followed by vertical drops onto the wave and into a bottom turn...Lovely. Around 4pm the wind eased off a little and with the strong current I had trouble getting on the plane a few times so decided to quit whilst ahead having had a perfect session. Went back over to the beach around 5pm with Morgan and it had now dropped off even more and one guy out windsurfing was having trouble staying upwind whilst Derek was just about to go out with his kite. My repair on my 5m involving a few rivets held up well too and it was pretty warm out there, time to get the short-armed summer suit out. |
